【Modify】K＆Nエアクリーナー+自作マウントレビュー
えーっと実際エアクリ換装したのは7月25日のことなので、エアクリ換装後1週間でのレビューです。
最初に断っておきますが、僕は今まで乗った車は父上のどノーマルオデッセイとこのエリーゼだけです。いや、確かに他の車も乗ったことありますが、もの言うほど乗ってません。
当日は、作業が完了したのが結構遅くなってたので、その日は全然走っておらず、最初に感じたのは音だけ。普通に町乗りしてる分には、ほぼ何も変わらず(2,000〜3,500rpmぐらい)、強めにアクセルをあけたときに「ヴワァーァァァン」とかなり大きな音が、「おぉっ！迫力あるねぇ！」とは思ったものの、車自体の変化はあまり感じられませんでした。
で、乗ってるうちに変化に気づきました。コンピューターが学習したんですかね？なんというか、回転数の上がり方が速い。レスポンスが良くなったっていうか、吹け上がりがいいっていうか、なんかそんな感じ。しかも、純正エアボックスがラゲッジスペースに載ったままなんで車自体は重いはずなのに(そんな大差ないですが)、車が今まで以上に軽い感じ。アクセルを踏む感じは変わってないはずなのに回転数はガンガン上がっていきます。あぁ、気持ちいい…、超楽しい♪
でも、やはりいいことばかりではないですね。気持ち低回転でのトルクが薄くなった感じがします。しかしレスポンスはいいのでちょっと踏んであげればいいだけのことです。発進でもたつくようになったわけでもないので、そんなに気にするほどでもないですね。
結果としては僕の中では大成功です。もともと、僕はエリーゼで通勤もするし夜中に住宅街も走るんで、低回転でもうるさくなってしまうのは嫌だったんですが、『思いっきりアクセルあけなければ今までとほとんど変わらずに走れる』というのは結構大きいポイントです。いやぁ、楽しい♪
