【Macintosh】Mac OS X Tiger 予約スタート
いよいよ、Mac OS X v10.4"Tiger"の予約開始です。
新機能として注目されているのは新しい検索テクノロジー「Spotlight」。
僕にとっては仕事で使うことを考えるとうれしい機能です。ファイル内に情報として入っているテキストまで検索できるらしいのですが実際どこまで出来るものなのか試してみたいものです。
次に「Dashboard」。いわゆる「Konfabulator」なわけですが、僕は一時期Konfabulatorを買うところまでいったのですが、Tiger待ちを選んだわけです。それは、今Konfabulatorを買っても使いどころが少ないこと。Tigerではただ単純にOSに着いてくるって感じなので、とてもうれしいところです。ただ不安な点は動作速度…このG4MDDならいけると思うのですが…。Widgetの「Translator」に期待大。
次に「Automator」。僕的な推測ではPhotoShopやIllustratorで言うアクションと判断しているんですが、そんな雰囲気で使えるものならすげぇいいです！画像の加工等のバッチ処理程度なら簡単に出来るのですがFinder上での単純作業を自動化させることが出来るのはイイですね。デキル人ならばAppleScriptやらでやってしまうのでしょうが、その知識や組む時間がない人にはこの「Automator」は救世主かも。
ってなわけで発売日は4/29。
