キアヌ・リーブス主演のオカルトアクション。
「マトリックスを彷佛させる」と言われていますが、僕的にそれは映像技術とキアヌだけで全く別もの。
主人公ジョン・コンスタンティンは子供の頃から「見えてはいけないもの」が見えてしまい、それに悩み自殺を試みる。そして2分間の自殺に成功する。しかし「自殺をした」という「罪」を背負ったジョン行く末は地獄、そして幼い頃からのタバコの吸い過ぎで寿命は刻々と削られて余命は残されていない。死後に天国にいくために「見えてはいけないもの」＝「人間界に降りた悪魔」を倒すエクソシストとして罪滅ぼしをする。
そんな中、サタンの息子マモンがサタンを出し抜き、キリスト処刑時に使われた運命の槍「ロンギヌスの槍」と「霊感の強い人間」を使い人間界に降り人間界を制しようとしている事が分かった。
…やっぱりあらすじを書くのはめんどくさいですねw
全体的なストーリーとしてはおもしろいです。神や悪魔、キリスト等の諸説はあまり知らない僕ですが、他のオカルト映画より分かりやすく、入り込みやすい。コンスタンティンのエクソシストとは見がたい服装や考え方、使う武器、タバコ等が最近では受けるのではないでしょうか？ラストの方でコンスタンティンがサタンと出会うシーンがあるのですが、サタンが地獄につれていこうとするときの大どんでん返しが良かった。ちなみに天使？としてガブリエルが出てきますが大天使長のそれとは違う人のようです。
ビジュアル面でのアクションシーンは全体的にマトリックスの様なスタイリッシュさはないものの、下級悪魔(ハーフブリード)をショットガンで倒しまくるシーンは、なにかゾンビを打ちまくってるようでバイオハザードを思い浮かべました。自殺する(＝地獄と繋がる)時ときの描写が個人的にはすごいかっこよかったし、タトゥーで印を結ぶ様なシーン、ガブリエルやサタンが主人公の前に現れるシーンはなんとも超常的な感じがよろしかったです。
原作はペーパーブックの「HELLBLAZER」今ではグラフィックノベルとしても販売されているようで、Amazonでも簡単に手に入るようです。

I was wondering if you ever considered changing the structure of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
