幼少のころは憧れていた車ですよ。今となってはエリーゼでLWSですが、世界初のアルミモノコックボディやミッドシップマウント、世界のHONDAのピュアスポーツカーなんてそりゃ憧れますよ。なんせ10年前にカーグラフィックスで見たエリーゼも最初はアルミバスタブシャシーに惹かれたんですから。
まぁ16年続いたわけですが、モーターショーのたびに次期NSXの噂は流れるもののフルモデルチェンジはなかなか行われず、そんなこんなで今の日本でのスポーツカーシェアもほぼ0。HONDA自身もそんな日本に合わせてミニバンばかり…。まぁ生き残ったとしても今の日本では売れない車なんですよね。
何にせよ生産終了です。後継モデルを開発中とのことですが「NSX」の名が残るかも未定。これは次期NSXへの期待をしていいものなのか複雑な心境ですねぇ…。これでHONDAのスポーツカーはS2000だけか…。
